Amazing Parades
1. So… parades are kind of awesome/terrible… It’s really a crapshoot… but sometimes, you get a true winner. This past Nauryz… this girl was on top of a four story float and she had really beautiful butterfly-like arms… and it was really freakin’ cold, so props to her! 
Opening a Resource Center
2. Lots of things behind our resource center were awesome. My Mom donated A LOT of time and energy to sending loads of packages from America full of books. My bro put up with all that stuff in the house. The teachers and students came to trainings and had a great time. And Nick’s besty, Todd, helped us get awesome legit t-shirts. ROCK STAR.
Walking home in a warm snow... then making a SNOW ANGEL!!!! GAH!
3. Nothing like walking home from aerobics in a warm-ish snow (warm enough to not freeze yo face off) and then call Nick from my cell and ask him to come outside quick to make snow angels! best. ever.

4. Yurts are pretty freakin’ sweet too. These were the houses that Kazakh people used back in the day… also, if someone dies they erect a yurt right in the middle of the courtyard for friends and family to stay in while visiting… at least we saw this a few times in Satpaev. pretty neat. The insides totally rock too.
Pop a Squat!
5. Last but not least, not peeing on yourself is AWESOME. Also, I know you may think that sounds nasty, but until you’ve had to squat, in heels, in flip flops, wearing hose, wearing leggings… I don’t even wanna hear it…
